Maranatha  is a meditation made up of vowel sounds.  MA  RA  NA  THA these vowel sound open up the psychic centers .

Also on the cover is the Double headed axe symbol. http://www.britishmuseum.org/explore/highlights/highlight_objects/gr/b/bronze_double_axe.aspx

This is also is symbolic of the right and left hand sides of the brain and  the labyrinth, its roots lay in ancient history. But not the history that is taught in main stream education.

We may wander around the Labyrinth of Life for a thousand years or more, but, eventually, the leap to higher consciousness will come. Or follow Ariadne's thread and slay the out of control ego.   This is why the monitor is always at the center of the labyrinth because we all like to be the center of attention.

Also in the background on the right hand side  is a Y that stands for the Y body of the knight Templars.
A cross in which unity splits into duality so that the trinity results is a Y, the forked cross. in alchemy we have the symbol REBIS the hermaphrodite with the two heads. The ancient symbols was later hidden as the letter Y.

Hi Astral,

I concur about the shape of the double-axe and about the Ma and Ra of the name of the book. As Ma and Ra are demonstrated in the video as being produced by the same note, natural "A", yet with different consonants, it reinforces the idea about them being two sides, or two aspects, of one "thing".
I know others have written about how the symbol appears skull-like. This might also support your idea of the two-hemispheres.
The theme of duality, as I mentioned earlier, might also be supported in the shape of the "U" topped with two dots (heads?).
It seems clear that the cover symbol is multi-purposeful, or that it is representing several things at once.
I wonder what other associations might be pulled from it.

I think that it is not any of these things.

Those were just some thoughts about associations with those things.  I really have no conclusions about either subject.
